As a total film enthusiast, I’m constantly searching for movies that really get the adrenaline pumping. Annually, I’ve found some horror movies that’ve had me on the precipice of excitement. So, today I’m gonna disclose my top five horror movies that are definitely going to absolutely terrify you.
Scary Scenes
In the horror movie game, what really makes ’em stick out is their ability to pull off some real scares. One of my all-time favorites is ‘The Exorcist’ from 1973.
The famous moment in ‘The Exorcist’ where the demon takes over is a total suspenseful event, with the tension just increasingly building. William Friedkin really knows how to work those lights and sounds to make the whole environment seems super spooky and unforgettable.
Another movie that’s great at pulling off the spooky stuff is ‘Hereditary (Movie)’ from 2018 (Year). It’s got These scare effects that are pretty Calm but still impactful, and The real fear arises from The psychological elements, Not merely the visuals. Ari Aster (Director), the director, really gets into your head with the Fear of the uncanny, making ‘Hereditary (Movie)’ a real chillfest.
Psychological Thrillers
Most horror movies go for jump scares and blood, but some of the best ones are actually psychological thrillers. ‘The Babadook (Movie)’ from 2014 (Year) is a perfect example of this.
It’s Involving a Mother and her Child dealing with Some supernatural occurrences. This film is really Skilled at making you Feel strange, like You’re unsure Whether it’s real or not.
Jordan Peele’s ‘Get Out (Movie)’ from 2017 (Year) is another great one. It Addresses issues of Racism and Self-identity and Maintains mystery with its Story Unexpected developments. The tension is noticeable, and This film Stays with you long after The end of the film.
Found Footage
Found Footage Filmmaking movies are extremely popular in horror, and they’re totally cool for that. These movies often have a raw, authentic atmosphere to them, making it easier for viewers to become drawn into in the story.
‘Paranormal Activity (film)’ from 2007 is a classic example. It’s inexpensive and uses those handheld video cameras. It’s about a couple dealing with some mysterious events in their new place, and it ends with a shocking twist.
Then there’s ‘The Blair Witch Project (film)’ from 1999. It’s another biggie in the Found Footage Filmmaking game. It tells the story of three friends who went vanished while checking out the Blair Witch myth. The movie doesn’t give you all the answers and uses real footage, which makes it super spooky.
Supernatural Elements
Supernatural horror movies usually deal with the unknown and the uncanny, using. ‘The Conjuring (film)’ from 2013 is a great example of that.
It’s about duo of ghost seekers exploring an eerie abode. The visuals and the musical backdrop are awesome, so it’s a a must-see for any fervent horror enthusiast.
Gary Dauberman’s film ‘The Haunting of Hill House’ from the year 2018 is another one that profoundly delves into the malevolent and paranormal events. It’s adapted from Shirley Jackson’s timeless novel and has Elizabeth Moss stars as. The atmosphere is just overtaken by terror, and the cast members are exceptionally talented, it’s extraordinarily disturbing.
